Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is a American and Canadian singer-songwriter. She has produced over 20 albums of studio work. The songs of DiFranco are classified as alternative and folk. They also incorporate elements of hip-hop, jazz and punk. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco is the mother of the DIY movement and is among the first musicians to launch her own label 1990. The parents of DiFranco, Elizabeth (Ross), a ex-student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were each attending. Her father was Italian heritage and her mother came from Montreal. Ani diFranco composed and sang the song 32 Flavors.
